Reasons For Bedroom Musicians

Music is involved in everyone’s life. People dig it, people play it and people either love it or hate it (however it would be strange to think that there’s a grump out there that hates all things music). In keeping parallel with the ever-growing technology of today’s world, music is taking flight in many more directions than ever before.

Whether you enjoy the raw sounds of hold-it-in-your-hands-and-play or embrace the digitalised beats and bops, you can’t deny that music is taking an electrified turn. Now the great thing about this is that programmes are constantly being developed rapidly to allow anybody to create their own fine piece themselves.

Such programmes are: Reason, Ableton , Fruityloops, Nuendo, Reaper, Cubase, Pro Tools and Mac’s Logic along with many, many more.reason

It’s understandable that many an artist out there might think, “Oh man now everyone’s a bloody DJ kid, oh man, oh man!” but really, who the hell cares! The more music there is out there the better. To deprive anyone the ability to want to make nice music and to have a swell time during is not a very nice thing now is it? These programmes are to let not only professionals strut their stuff, but also for beginners to learn and spread the fantastic digital music scene. I reckon it’s a great reason for making Reason.

    hear hear!

were it not for such software that allows for budding beatmakers and musicians to try their hand at creating some magic then we wouldn’t have some of the best work created by artists such as Jamie T, Le Castlevania, RZA, GZA, The Prodigy, BT…ad nauseum
